BRIEF DESCRIPTION
I am a Kenyan Journalist with fourteen (14) years experience in the profession. Currently working with the The East African, a regional weekly published by the Nation Media Group (NMG) as a Political Analyst. I also do political analysis for the Sunday Nation on a weekly basis.
I mainly cover East Africa. Great Lakes Region and the Horn of Africa regions, with special focus on Sudan, Somalia, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Eritrea and the DRC, Rwanda and Burundi, besides Tanzania and Uganda whenever the need arises.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from Bombay University and a post-graduate Diploma in Journalism and Development Communications from Xavier Institute of Communications (XIC), Bombay India.
My areas of interests include; Politics, Labour Issues, Culture and Heritage and Humanitarian Issues.
In the course of my duty, I have visited a number of countries, namely: Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Somalia, Libya, Egypt, Sudan, UK, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, China, Burundi and South Africa.
