Onek   said the tractors would be suitable in areas that have fragmented land ,like the central region.

''The tractors would  help in pumping water for irrigation, ploughing  and many other functions. We want to develop agriculture  engineering, a section that had died out”, he said while commissioning  Sh3.3 billion modern agriculture machinery investment at Bulenga on Friday.

''We are employing a number of agricultural engineers so that our country becomes more mechanized .They will work alongside big farmers'', Onek said. The minister also commissioned a synagogue Church of all Nations, a multi billion investment  in machinery dubbed 'Get out of poverty.'

The machinery will help  in maize, cotton, and rice grows. It includes four Hi-tech tractors each worth Shs500m,sprayers, harrowers  and planters. Synagogue church of all Nations head Samuel Kakande  said they started the programme to end the era of  sitting in the church when  the believers are poor.

''We want to change this. Our people are poor, jobless, sick ,homeless and this causes them to think negatively'', Pastor Kakande said.

He added that as a church they have entered commercial agriculture and business.

“ We need to help everyone so that people can have some money instead of just praying without doing anything”.
