- The mountain Gorillas in Uganda, Rwanda and DRC are now on the increase following the conservation efforts by the governments in the respective countries by putting up different campaigns like Friend a Gorilla Campaign in Uganda and Kwita Izina in Rwanda.

- The Ugandan Politics that had started peaceful and were termed as free and fair later turned out to be HOT. The IPC, UPC, and other parties have pulled their efforts to oppose the 8th Feb 2011 elections that there were to many irregularities. The Mayor race for Kampala too have become hot between IPC and NRM candidates and have been postponed until further date that will be communicated depending on the speed of the investigations by the Uganda Police and the Electoral Commission.
