SOMALIA: Key Al-Qaeda mastermind killed
Al-Qaeda terrorist leader Fazul Abdullah Mohammed, who eluded justice for 13 years, is finally dead. He was gunned down in Somalia capital, Mogadishu on Wednesday at one of the security check points in the war ravaged city by the Transitional Federal Government security personnel. He was killed along with a Kenyan Musa Dere. - Mohammed, the alleged mastermind of the 1998 bombings that killed 224 people at two U.S. embassies in East Africa [Kenya and Tanzania], was shot dead when his vehicle apparently blundered into a military checkpoint by mistake.
The intelligence officers of the TFG confirmed the killing of the fugitive likewise briefing the Kenyan security over his death.

- DEADLY BLAST HIT MOGADISHU Deadly blast hit outside the government building in Mogadishu killing more than 50 and injuring more today according to government sources. The dead comprise of students, civilians and soldiers according to a witness at the scene. The building houses ministries of the government where three cabinet ministers were present during the blast.
