    - A New Sudan Requires More than Same Old Solutions The recent outbreaks of violence, where 140 Sudanese mostly women and children, were killed, in the remote Warrap region of Sudan are a worrying sign of possible things to come. In April 2010, the people of Sudan will go to the polls for the first time in 23 years. They will vote in local, parliamentary and presidential elections. The leaders they choose in 2010 have then an even more historic choice ahead of them – a referendum for secession between the north and south.
