- In recent years the number of students seeking for higher education has almost trebled. At least the first degree has become mandatory for high school graduates. The former president handed over the power in a ceremony held in the presidential palace in Hargeisa this morning. - International Book Fair kicked off on Friday in the main venue of Ministry of Labor. The event was co-organized by Redsea Online, Kayd and Ilays and is to last until the 27th of July. - In a press release yesterday, Somaliland’s new elected president sent a condolences to the families that lost love once in the recent Al-shabaab attack in Uganda. He called the attack an act of evil and nothing could justify the killing civilians. He urged strong unity of the international community against any one who want to create chaos in the horn of Africa.
