  2. South Africa won’t send troops to Somalia. Really?


    - By Mike Ssegawa South African Defence secretary, Mpumi Mpofu surprised many when she announced that her country would not send any troops to pacify Somalia. In a Cape Town press conference, BBC quoted her as saying, "The answer to Somalia is a simple 'No'." That statement was pregnant and it left many asking what happened to ANC revolutionaries? Let me say, this is the most ‘shocking’ statement from post South Africa since ANC took power in 1994.
