    - BY ANNE MRINZI The drug menace at the Mombasa coast has taken a different dimension as Islamic religious leaders join hands to fight the war. Religious leaders in Mombasa are in a five days training on different ways to combat the drug menace. The training is organised by the National Campaign against Drug Abuse Authority (NACADA) the US government and the Drug Advisory Programme (DAP) of the Colombo Plan Bureau.     - BY ANNE MRINZI Imams at the Mombasa Coast have called on the government to seek foreign aid in fighting the drug war and pushed for the disbandment of the police team investigating the menace in the region. Led by the Council of Imams and Preachers of Kenya (CIPK), the Imams claimed they lacked confidence with the investigators deployed at the coast. They alleged that the work done by the investigaotors was substandard and that they just wasted the tax payers money. They were reacting to a report by the investigators that they declined to give information to the team when it visited Mombasa.     - BY ANNE MRINZI The principal of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology Taita Campus has expressed concerns over the lack of suficient water in the institute. Prof. Hamadi Boga explained that the institute had been slow in admitting students in the capacity due to lack of enough water. "Water in this insitute is a challeneg forcing us to be slow in taking students which is quite discouraging to the community, said Boga.
