Consumers use the bags to carry different goods such as vegetables from the markets and shops.

‘ I advice the government and manufactures to produce bags that are not destroying environment as is the case at with these which are of low quality plastic bags’, Mrs Asamwe Msira , a resident of Tarime town says.

Tarime District Medical Officer (DMO) Dr Charles Marwa admits that the plastics bags dangerous for both environment and health of people.

‘Environmental and health they are very destructive especially on plants and I would to change our industries to change mode of production from plastics to bags that are environmental friendly’, the DMO told Voices of Africa.
