    Majority of Tanzanians own now a mobile phone. Yet, that same majority live below the poverty limit. The most amazing thing is that even the poorest's priority is to hold the latest version of a mobile phone.

    There are four main companies providing phone services : Vodacom, Zain, Tigo and Zantel. They cater for more than three millions subscribers.
