Mr Banata is happy that his garden has been attracting customers from different parts of the district and the neighbouring regions.

'I like this work and I have been doing it since 1980. People come from different areas like Dar es Salaam to buy tree seedlings from this garden and I get good money during rain seasons’, Mr Banata says.

This man says he earns an average of Tanzanian shillings 500,000 per month.

His customers included public and private institutions as well as individuals.

He appeals for support from environmental stakeholders especially in areas of working tools.

Pastor Patrice Chacha describes the garden as one of the key environmental stakeholders in Tarime town and the surrounding villages.

‘Mzee Banata has been my good stakeholder and whenever I need to plant tress I come to his garden’, the cleric leader says.
