Singing in the hope of getting a wheel chair

    Mr Wisdom Kpomegbe, a physically challenged with the help of his daughter Afi, does not just sit beside the street of Accra and beg for money, but also portrays his talent through singing as a source of entertaining passers by, in spite of his condition.

    He just could not see himself sitting and begging for money when he knows he has something special hidden in him, he said. Mr Kpomegbe and his wife Janet, who could not communicate in any other language except their mother tongue said, singing is a talent God has given him, if anyone is touched by the way he sings n his condition and gives him money, he manages it with his family.

    In an interview with his wife Janet, she said: ‘He was in this state when I got married to.’ According to her they had five children; unfortunately, they lost three and left with two with two grandchildren.

    They came to they city to seek greener pastures because life way back in their village was not perfect, she said. Mr. Wisdom. Kpomegbe and his family, who lives in a kiosk, is seeking the help of the general public, who is touched with his story and condition to provide him with a wheel chair which will enable him move easily.
