    Donda West is not a household name in Africa. But in the U.S. especially Chicago, the late mother of top U.S. Hip-Hop Star, Kanye West, was known as an advocate for African causes. Donda, 58, died tragically Nov. 10th in a Los Angeles hospital of complications resulting from plastic surgery, leaving thousands of fans of Kanye and Black activists saddened.
