Also, a marathoner of 10,000 metres, Momo took home a cash prize of FCFA 3 million (4580 euro). Godlove Gabsibuin came second and bagged home FCFA 2 million (3053 euro). First timer, Symplice Ndungeh of M’Muock Athletics Club came third and won FCFA 1million (1526 EURO). The 2008 champion of the Mount Cameroon Race of Hope, Charles Ngongapongha, was sixth.

The foreign athletes did not feature in any significant positions. Some observers intimated that the foreign athletes, this time, came for tourism and not to actively compete in the 14th Mount Cameroon Race of Hope.
