He said that the media is too much on the negative side while lot of good things are happening in Kenya. The vice president was in the company of the area member of parliament and also the minister for Energy Honorable Kiraitu Murungi, his neighbouring MP Silas Muriuki and other civic leaders from the larger meru region. Mitunguu catholic parish was started in 1997 and it has 12 prayer houses. According to the parish chairman Mr. Wilson Maina, the parish was curved from Mujwa parish due to the increase of Christians.

Its due to this tremendous increase that the father who was in charge decided to establish a new construction in the year 1998. Since then, the christian community have tirelessly struggled to bring up the construction through various contributions but in vain. Due to this reason the priest in charge father Francis Gaciata and his assistant father Patric Mwiti assisted by the Meru bishop Salesius Mugambi decided to call for vice presidents aid. At least ksh 2.4m was contributed in the function.
