- Posted on Wednesday 28 October 2009 - 18:05Yussuf Maleli, VoicesofAfrica mobile reporter in Kibweiz, KenyaMany people in Kibwezi have adopted sack-farming to get the needed vegetables for their daily consumption and even for the local market. She says with the new method vegetables get cheaper. Moreover, she uses very little water and no labor is required to take care of the vegetables, as the sacks keep weeds away.
‘One bucket of water is enough for a sack every week’, says Kimuyu, adding that all the water she uses comes from her well.
