The poll opened at 6.00am Kenyan time to long queues of people who had
arrived earlier in the morning. So far no incidences in Nairobi have been
    witnessed.

Kenya has experienced ethnic violence in the past years after elections
but this time round the poll is expected to be peaceful.

Kenyans are seeking to either reject the proposed new constitution or
accept it to replace the constitution they had inherited from the British
    colonialists after independence.
