Silas Musyoka is cobbler working near Korogocho, one of the many urban slums in the Kenyan capital Nairobi. He has a wife and 3 children who depend entirely on his business. He earns about a dollar in a single day. To him one dollar a day is a huge improvement since compared to his earning in previous months.

Musyoka has been in this trade for two year. He is among those who ran away from the drought-affected east to Nairobi, hoping to find a paradisiacal life there.
