  2. Togo : New government appointed


    - The prime minister, Komlan MALLY, is a member of the ruling party which holds the majority of the departments. The new government has registered 9 new comers, 2 women, 3 departments of states. 13 former ministers have been taken back. 4 political parties is sharing out the departments of the new government. The new product of this government is that the department of national defence is linked to the Head of States. The delegate departments and the secretaries of states have been removed.   3. Togo: Fans furious after CAF heavy sanctions


    - The Kegue stadium of Lomé is also suspended for six months of any competitions organised by the African Football Confederation. At last, the disciplinary committee has decided to forbid the national football team to play its next three football matches on the Togolese territory.These sanctions are the results of the acts of violence after the match Togo-Mali on October 12th, for the last day of the qualifications for the African Nations Cup Ghana 2008.According to the disciplinary committee these sanctions are justified by the misbehaviours of the supporters and the failure of the security system.Togolese supporters qualify these sanctions of disproportionate and too serious.   4. Multisport hall for Togo


    - Togo will have it first multisports hall. The works will begin on January 2008 and will cost as whole 200.000 Euros. The plan is financed by the Association for the Development of the Villages of Togo (ADVT) a French association. This hall will serve to the practice of any sort of hands sports and combats fighting. The buildings will dwell on two hectares. Togo doesn’t possess any multisport hall, until now hands sports are played in the open.

  5. Electoral body request CAN qualifier postponement


    - The national electoral commission of Togo invites the Togolese government to ask for the postponement of the match Togo-Mali of the last day of the qualifications for the African Nations Cup of football Ghana 2008. According to the president of the electoral commission, Tozim Potopéré, this postponement can be explained by the fact that the date of October 12th is the end of the electoral campaign of Togo. The matches of group 9 must be played on September 9th, but they have been postponed because of the presidential election in Sierra Leone.
