Apart from producing good footballers, Cameroon has also produced international referees of great renown. One of them is Abimne Andrew Akumbo, who also works for a national telecom company. He is a referee, but also a player, a Sunday player as he dedicates his Sundays to football together with his friends member of the Sunday Friends Association, SUFA.
Football in Cameroon is now considered a religion. The people of that Central African country, think football, drink football, sleep with football and a good part of them live on football and related activities. After having participated at five editions of the FIFA World Cup and now looking forward to the sixth, have won the African Cup of Nations four times, Cameroonians have engaged in football at all levels.
