Blak Mexxiah Wins International Mixtape Award


  1. Ghana’s sensational dancehall and afro lyricist, Blak Mexxiah otherwise known as the hard core governor have been awarded a spot on the upcoming Coast 2 Coast music worldwide compilation hosted by internationally celebrated musician Wyclef Jean.
    In a congratulatory letter signed and copied to the managers of Coast 2 Coast, they applauded Mexxiah for winning the spot and encouraged him to keep on recording meaningful songs that can travel beyond borders. The letter also stated that “Congratulations on winning your spot and welcome to the Coast 2 Coast Mixtape family! As a Winner we are also interested in featuring your song on our Coast 2 Coast Compilation series for sale worldwide”. The letter had it that Blak Mexxiah maybe signing a multimillion dollar contract with Coast 2 Coast very soon.
    The song, Broni, which won him the spot is said to be making strong strides in Jamaica and Haiti where most of his recordings are promoted.
    Mexxiah has been in the Ghanaian music industry for over a decade, spanning his early days with the late Mc Tontoh of the great Osibisa fame. He travelled the world with Mc Tontoh- a man he calls his father- and performed at popular musical concerts in Europe and around Africa.
