Algeria maintains Rabah Saadane

    Algeria coach Rabah Saadane has been handed a new two-year deal, with the task of leading the team into the 2012 CAF Africa Cup of Nations finals, according to the Algerian Football Federation, FAF. Saadane's original contract, signed in 2007, expires at the end of July 2010.

    The veteran coach led Algeria to the 2010 FIFA World Cup finals in South Africa, the country's first appearance at the global showpiece in 24 years, although they were eliminated in the first round.

    The Desert Foxes failed to score a goal in their three matches: 1-0 losses to Slovenia and the United States and a 0-0 draw with heavily favoured England in Group C.
