The universal lesson of a rainbownation
- The 'new' South Africa is almost 14 years old. After the atrocities committed during the apartheid era had come to light and were written down by the Truth and Reconciliation Committee, it was 'over'. It had to be. South Africa was embraced by the world as the 'rainbow nation' , and started a new season of being 'proudly South African'. However, in 2008 the colors of the rainbow seem to have a hard time flowing from one into the other. An eighteen-year old boy drives into a township, gets out of the car and starts shooting.
